Materials & Framing

IkonHaus works are developed through a controlled, presentation-first process. This page outlines the materials, framing system, and production standards used across the collection, providing clarity on how each work is printed, mounted, documented, and prepared for long-term display.

Print Production

Each IkonHaus work is produced as a hand-numbered limited edition of 50.

Prints are rendered on heavyweight matte paper selected for tonal stability, low glare, and suitability for framed presentation. Each print is finished with a UV protective coating to support long-term display under normal indoor lighting conditions.

Multiple size formats may be offered within the same edition. Image composition and margins are adjusted per format to preserve visual balance and framing integrity.

Certificate of Authenticity

Every IkonHaus work includes an IkonHaus Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate documents the artwork’s title, edition number, and format, confirming its place within a finite, hand-numbered edition. It serves as a permanent record of issuance and is intended to travel with the work over its lifetime.

Certificates are issued once per artwork and correspond directly to the physical piece received. They are not reissued or duplicated.

The certificate functions as both:

  • A record of edition control

  • A reference point for provenance and future resale

Together with the artwork’s edition number, it establishes the work as part of a defined, closed run rather than an open or reproducible print.

Framing & Matting

Framing System

All IkonHaus works are presented using a consistent, set-back framing configuration.

Each piece is mounted behind the inner frame and mat, creating a deliberate sense of depth while keeping the artwork visually contained and protected. This presentation is standard across the collection.

Portrait-format works are available in three size formats. Landscape works are offered in a single format, selected to preserve the original composition and intended spatial balance.

Matting

Each framed work includes a white, acid-free mat, permanently integrated into the presentation. The mat functions both as a visual boundary and as a conservation layer, preventing direct contact between the artwork and the frame. Materials are selected to resist discoloration and yellowing over time, maintaining a neutral field around the image.

Front Protection

All works are protected by a clear, lightweight polymer front. This is not glass. The material is chosen to reduce weight, improve handling safety, and minimize breakage during transport and installation, while providing everyday protection for indoor display.

Construction & Stability

Frames incorporate a rear reinforcement system designed to keep the frame square and securely assembled over time. This construction supports consistent alignment during shipping, hanging, and long-term display.

Mounting & Display

All framed works arrive fully assembled and ready to hang. Wall-mounting hardware may vary depending on wall material; appropriate fixing devices should be selected based on the installation environment.

Materials Overview

  • Frame & inner structure: fiberboard with paper-based surface finish

  • Mat: acid-free paper

  • Front protection: clear polymer (non-glass)

Care & Handling

Frames should be cleaned gently using a dry, soft duster. Avoid liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

Production Philosophy

IkonHaus works are developed through a presentation-first process. We prioritize consistency, precision, and repeatability across the collection. Standardized production components are used intentionally.

This ensures:

  • Reliable dimensional accuracy across formats

  • Predictable long-term compatibility and replacement

  • Faithful alignment between physical works and AR previews

Editioning, presentation, and documentation are handled as a single system. Each work is Assembled, inspected, and issued as part of a finite run, with no alterations to format once an edition is established.
