How to Use “View on My Wall” (AR & 3D Preview)

IkonHaus Artworks lets you preview pieces at true scale so you can confidently choose the right size for your space. View on My Wall works directly in your browser — no app is required. Your experience depends on what your device supports. Both options are accurate and intentional.

If Your Device Supports AR (Most Android Phones)

You’ll see the artwork on your wall at real size, using your phone’s camera.

Before You Start

For the most accurate result:

  • Stand about 2 meters (6–7 feet) from your wall

  • Hold your phone at a comfortable viewing distance

  • Make sure the room is well lit, without heavy glare

Starting AR

  1. Select your frame size and color

  2. Tap “Start AR Preview”

  3. Tap the center reticle on the screen to enter AR

If the Artwork Doesn’t Appear Right Away

This is normal — your phone needs a moment to understand the space.

Try the following:

  • Aim at a corner or edge (ceiling line, door frame, trim)

  • Hold still for 2–3 seconds

  • Move your phone slowly, not side to side

  • Avoid bright windows or reflective surfaces

Once tracking stabilizes, the artwork will appear at true scale.

Tips for Best Results

  • AR works best on textured environments (edges, corners, nearby furniture)

  • If you change sizes, the preview will reset to keep scale accurate

  • What you see reflects real physical dimensions, not a visual mockup

If Your Device Does Not Support Web-AR (Most iPhones)

Some phones support AR through apps, but web-based AR works differently across devices.
On this device, View on My Wall opens an accurate 3D preview instead of a camera-based AR view.

What to Expect

  • The artwork is displayed in a 3D space for proportion and size comparison

  • Sizes are mathematically accurate relative to each other

  • This mode does not use your camera

You may see a small label indicating:

“3D preview on this device”

This simply means camera-based AR isn’t available here — not that anything is broken.

Why This Still Works

The sizing and proportions you see are still accurate — only the camera overlay is unavailable.
This mode is ideal for:

  • Comparing frame sizes

  • Understanding overall proportions

  • Deciding which size best fits your space

Important Notes (All Devices)

  • All previews are based on real-world dimensions

  • Artwork is never stretched or visually adjusted

  • If something looks “off,” it’s usually due to lighting, distance, or viewing angle — not the artwork

  • You can return to the product page or change sizes at any time
